Why You Shouldn't Upgrade to Windows 11

Windows 11 has been touted as a significant upgrade to its predecessors, but many users are hesitant to make the switch due to various concerns. As someone who has closely followed the development of this platform, I've identified several major issues that have left me wondering if it's worth upgrading.

One of the most significant drawbacks of Windows 11 is its telemetry capabilities. While users of Windows 11 Enterprise can disable telemetry entirely, those using Home or Pro versions are forced to deal with the constant stream of data being sent back to Microsoft. This lack of control over one's own device is a major concern for many.

To address these concerns, I decided to test Windows 11 Enterprise and see if it could meet my de-enshittification needs. Unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. Despite trying various configurations, I couldn't find any significant improvements that addressed the issues I had with Windows 11 Home and Pro.

In fact, I've come to realize that Microsoft's corporate customers are given special treatment when it comes to telemetry and other features. This means that individuals using Windows 11 Enterprise are not necessarily getting a better deal than those using Home or Pro versions.
